MEET YOUR DESIGNERS - A SISTER DESIGN DUO
Where it all began:
In 2017 Shelly and her mom were featured on the DIY Network show, First Time Flippers after purchasing their first investment property. The goal was to renovate the property on a budget and to do all of the work themselves. From that experience Shelly grew a love for design on a budget and wanted to share it with others. In 2019 she started CENTSible Designs, an interior design business with dollars and CENTS in mind.
Shelly Nupp - Owner, Lead Designer, General Contractor
Shelly is the wife to an amazing husband, Justin, who has always supported her and her crazy ideas! He is also a huge help when it comes to needing muscle on projects and driving heavy loaded trailers full of furniture! Centsible Designs couldn’t do what they do without him! Shelly and Justin have two independent and hardworking boys named Hudson & Cole. When they aren’t in school, they can be found on job sites adding their opinions about flooring, paint colors and other design selections.
In 2021 Shelly decided to get her General Contractor’s license knowing she could be a “Rock Star” in a “Man’s World”! Since then she has proven that to be true! Not a day goes by that Shelly isn't grateful for the clients who have trusted her with their homes, cabins and other design projects! Centsible Designs wouldn’t be what it is today without the people who have given Shelly a chance and allowed her to be creative on their projects and to grow in her passion!
Angie Rivera - Designer, Photographer, Office Manager
Angie, Shelly’s older sister (As Shelly likes to point out), lived overseas with her children until 2020. In late 2020 she and her kids moved home to Tennessee to start a new chapter in their lives. While Angie did some part time work for Centsible Designs earlier on, she officially joined the team in 2021. Since then, Angie has become the right hand “woman” to Shelly. Before Angie joined the team she was a photographer for 10+ years and has enjoyed using her talent as the Centsible Designs photographer for their projects. In addition to photography, Angie also manages the office, designs mood boards for clients, shops for projects and assists Shelly in project setup.
It’s no secret that Angie and Shelly have a great working partnership and truly enjoy working together on projects. Angie feels blessed to be able to work side by side with not only her sister but her friend!

Over the past 2 years we believe that we have found our niche in the industry! We specialize in new construction rental cabins and luxury investment properties . As designers we work alongside the property owner and contractor from start to finish. Our goal is to select unique finishings that will set your property apart from others in the industry. We work with the client’s budget and produce a custom, high end product that appeals to those in the market to buy or rent. We start with the basics… flooring, paint colors, cabinetry, lighting, tile, kitchen and bath finishings, exteriors, etc. and then finish the project up with furnishings and decor that will give your space a unique and custom look that people want!
